This story reminded me of one of my all time favorite television shows, Touch By An Angel. Hope is my favorite character, because she is living out her Christianity daily. She is not forcing it on others, but she is not ashamed to say in whom and what she believes. Her greatest desire is to honor God and she tries not to lose focus of that. She is truly concerned about people and their well-being and also concern about their relationship with the Lord. Hope has a gentle, subtle way of telling people about God without being offensive. The way she gets people who have problems to think differently about their circumstances is amazing. I believe she is able to do this because she been through a lot and knows that loving-kindness will draw people. A well written book. Hope's Motel has a good plot with believable characters. A story of changes and a second chance at forever love. I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. All opinions stated in this review are my own.
Refreshing, positive, Christian story about how faith lives in the main character, Hope. Through the challenges of life she trusts her beliefs to guide her though conflict, parenting, and romance. I enjoyed it very much!
I loved the way the story pulled me in. It is filled with christian standards that are good reminders for us. You find yourself cheering for many of the characters and there are a few who leave you wondering. It is also a good reminder that God is in the business of second chances. I will be giving this book as a gift.
This is the story of a Christian mother who had to raise her daughter alone, and was happy to do so. their lives changed forever when she inherited a motel, and met good and troubled people.
This book was refreshing to read. It needed no cussing, or sex scenes to be good. It supported Christian values in the daily trials Hope encounters as a single mom/businesswoman as well as problems her college-student daughter has to face. I especially liked the blooming relationship she finds and how she handles herself as a Christian woman while letting love blossom.
